Quality Care Service

care

New Concept Care & Nursing was established in October 1992 to provide a quality care service for people in their own homes.

Over the years we have spread geographically and in the types of support we provide, whatever your support needs we will be able to help, or head you in the right direction. Working with Health and Social Service professionals across the East Riding, North Yorkshire, York, Hull and North Lincolnshire we can tailor the right support for you when you need it most, from general help at difficult times of the day to end of life support for the whole family, complete care for people who have had a life changing accident or have a neurological condition and work with those who have a learning disability including help with finding the right place to live.  Long or short term help from as little as a phone call when family are away to full complex 24 hour care at home.

We can provide support if you need a large care package across the whole of the North East of England. View our support services here.

We provide a service which puts people at its centre, those who use the service and those who work with us. Mary Luckett, who set up the company is keen to maintain a strong qualified nursing, management, human resources and finance staff presence in the management team – this is what makes us different and gives people confidence in using our services and in working with us.  We are always just a phone call away 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

trainingOur staff team is selected carefully, we always consider who we and our families would feel relaxed and happy with.  The recruitment process is rigorous with full training including the new Care Certificate.  We have a training unit fully equipped with the types of moving and handling equipment which is used in the community, if anyone has a different specific need we train staff in your home.

All staff commence their career with us learning the basics.  Trainers are all experienced and include our team of learning disability and general nurses, health and safety and first aid specialists.  In addition to induction training we provide specialist sessions around people’s specific needs such as autism, epilepsy, behaviour which can be difficult to manage, head and spinal injury, PEG feeding, respiratory ventilation etc so you can rest assured that if you are needing something a bit different we are prepared.

For large care packages we encourage people to join us in selection which helps find the perfect team for you.  Andrew, Mary’s son is Human Resource Director, he ensures that we comply with all legislation and works with Bethany Pearson our Accountant in the management of personal budgets.

As well as training people who work with us we also provide courses for other organisations and for people who employ their own staff through Personal Budgets. To join the NCCN team please visit our training page.
