We offer services throughout the North East of England and specialise in large packages of care funded by Health and Social Services, Insurance Claims, through Individual Budgets and Privately. Each team is led by a qualified nurse and is selected and trained to meet your needs.
The most important thing is that you are involved every step of the way, from helping us develop your support plan, selection of your team (with our support of course!) to planning your day to day activities.
If you have an existing team they can seamlessly transfer to us, even staing on their current terms and conditions through TUPE legislation and continue to take a leading role in your support with additional staff joining them as necessary.
Staff training is specifically tailored to your needs to make sure that you are safe and everyone knows how you like your care to be delivered, we work with other professionals to provide specialist training but most training needs can be met by our experienced team: Mary Luckett, Director trained as a nurse, health visitor and teacher, although now retired Mary is involved at a strategic level and is passionate about the maintenance of professional oversight of all services, Andrew Luckett, Director is an HR specialist who assists people who are organising their own care through a personal budget to recruit their own staff, Bethany Pearson is Finance Manager who can manage people’s own budgets taking away the hassle of payroll and other employment issues. Lyn Hole is a nurse for people with learning disabilities who specialises in Autism and helping people whose behaviour can be challenging. Tracey Fitzgerald is a qualified nurse with experience of managing a large rehabilitation centre for neurolongical conditions and traumatic brain injury, she has also worked as a District Nurse. Rachel Longley worked with us as a Care Worker prior to becoming a qualified nurse. She gained experience in High Dependency and cancer care before returning to join our Assessment Team. Rachel and Tracey lead the Physical Disability teams undertaking assessment and giving hands on support and supervision.
You and / or your family will work with our assessment team to write your support plan which can be changed at any time, we centre this on what you would like to achieve and how we can help you to live life as fully as possible.
We are experienced in providing a whole range of services, including help for people who have their respiration supported by ventilation, acquired brain and / or spinal cord injury and complex learning disabilities including autism. Families find that our flexible approach provides them with peace of mind and the ability to change the package of care to fit around family life.
NCCN have experience of accompanying people on holidays – including those who’s needs are very complex, we will help with finding accommodation which is suitable, do the bookings and make sure that the holiday is a great success!
If you live in your own home, or would like advice and support to move into your own accommodation, we can work with you and your family to help you make this happen, and then provide all the support you will need to go out and about, join social groups and just do the things you enjoy!
